Tour Package: 12 Days, Beijing - Xi'an - Shanghai (Suzhou) - Guilin - Hong Kong

This tour features the splendors of Imperial Beijing, the astonishing Terra-cotta Army in Xi'an, the sophistication of cosmopolitan Shanghai, the delicate beauty of Suzhou, the breathtaking scenery of Guilin, and the shopping paradise of Hong Kong.

Day 1 - 4 Beijing

As specified in 3 DAYS BEIJING.

Day 5 Xi'an

In the morning we head for airport by coach for our flight to Xi'an and transfer to hotel upon arrival. We first visit the ancient city walls of Xi'an, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell Tower. An optional evening performance of excellent Tang Dynasty song and dance is available.

Day 6 Xi'an

The tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, is one of the greatest archaeological finds of the century. Guarding the burial place is a huge Terra-cotta Army of 6,000 life-size figures individually crafted and complete with chariots and horses. It is an unforgettable sight. We also visit the Neolithic Village of Banpo and Huaqing Hot Springs Palaces where pagodas and temples are set round a small lake spa.

Day 7 Shanghai

In the morning we take an early flight to Shanghai and transfer to hotel upon arrival. We visit the Yu Yuan Garden which is an old Chinese quarter of Shanghai where cobbled streets are lined with traditional shops selling herbal medicines, handicrafts, Chinese tea, and a variety of tantalizing snacks. Here we can stroll through moon gates and latticed pavilions. After lunch we visit the Bund lined with gracious European buildings overlooking the Huangpu River. You may also walk along the busiest Nanjing Road to mix with the Chinese shoppers. The active Jade Buddha Temple may give you some ideas about the Buddhist service.

Day 8 Shanghai - Suzhou - Shanghai

A day excursion takes us to Suzhou, a city described by the Chinese as "a paradise on the earth". We visit the Garden of the Master of Nets, Silk Spinning Factory, the Embroidery Institute and the canals of this "Venice of the East" before returning to Shanghai in the evening.

Day 9 Guilin

In the morning we fly to Guilin where we stay at a 4 star hotel. Guilin is know for its landscape, the tall pointed mountains, the rice paddies, the winding rivers, the limestone rock formation, the delightful effects of mist and cloud. We take a city tour to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, Fupo Hill and the Reed Flute Cave. In the evening we can join an optional river boat excursion to watch the cormorant fishing or local cultural performances.

Day 10 Guilin - Hong Kong

A cruise journey along the Li River to the town of Yangshuo carries us gently through this almost magical landscape. Transfer to the airport and fly to Hong Kong where we stay in 4 star hotel.

Day 11 Hong Kong

You have a full day to explore the city of Hong Kong. Optional city tours are available. (City tour includes: Victoria Peak, the junks and sampan of Aberdeen Harbor, Causeway Bay etc.)

Day 12

Transfer to airport for flight home. Extra stay is available.
