Tour Package: 5 Days, Beijing
 

6 nights of 4-star hotel accommodation with 5 days of sightseeing.

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport you will be escorted to the 4 -star Beijing International Hotel which is only 1.5 km away from the Tiananmen Square - the central point of the city. We suggest that after a short rest you explore that part of the city by walking from the hotel to the square.

Day 2

Today we take you to the world's largest square, the Tiananmen Square, before bringing to the Forbidden City, center of the Chinese world for nearly 500 years as well as home to the Ming and Qing emperors and their concubines and eunuchs. After a great Chinese lunch we visit the Temple of Heaven, the best of the Ming architecture and the sacred stage for the annual rites performed by the emperors to honor Heaven and to ensure the well-being of the nation.

Day 3

This morning we travel by coach to visit the Road of Spirit and the Ming Tombs where the Ming Dynasty emperors were buried. After lunch we go to visit one of the world's most renowned man-made structures - the Great Wall at Badaling. We will ascend one or two of its majestic towers and enjoy a unique view of the Wall winding among the undulating mountains.

Day 4

In the morning we go to the Beijing Zoo first to see the Giant Panda, one of the most famous and rarest mammals in the world. Then, we take you for a stroll in the imperial gardens - the Summer Palace, where the Qing emperors and empresses used to live during the summer to escape the heat.

Day 5
Today we will meet local people and see how they live. In the morning we first pay a visit to the Huguosi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and get to understand the magic of the famous Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine. Then we go to visit the local people's homes in the old back lanes called Hutong as well as neighborhood kindergartens and schools. After lunch we tour around the older sections of Beijing areas riding in tricycles.

Day 6

Free in the morning and afternoon. Peking Duck dinner.

Day 7
 
Transfer to airport for flight home. Extra stay is available.
